There is a window of time immediately following traumatic injury in which medical treatment to prevent irreversible internal damage and optimize the chance of survival is most effective.

The Golden Hour

'The golden hour' refers to a very critical, but brief, window of time – following an injury – in which there is thought to be a much higher chance that critically injured persons and stroke/cardiac arrest patients can be saved if they are able to get appropriate medical treatment.

By the above definition, 'The golden hour' is the core of our mission to help saving lives. twICEme supports with Medical ID, lifesaving information, in medical emergencies. With it the first person on site as well as rescue workers and doctors can access the information within seconds. This can make the difference between life and death.

Anyone, can download the free app on a smartphone. Whether you or someone dear to you has a twICEme garment, or you are first on site,  a part of the rescue community or have first aid training; our app can be of help in an emergency situation.

The first person in an emergency situation is not necessarily one of the rescue community or has first aid training. But it is important to remember that anyone can help a person in need. From now on, make sure you always keep an eye out for twICEme tags.
